Every part of group travel, in 1 association.

The North American Group Travel Association (NAGTA) is a nonprofit trade association for everyone who moves, houses, feeds, entertains, or plans a group trip in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Motorcoach operators, hotels, attractions, restaurants, destinations, tour operators, travel advisors, churches, schools, senior centers, and the professionals who work the trips all belong here. Joining is free.

The gap

Group travel is 1 supply chain. Until now it had no single home.

Each existing association holds 1 link of the chain: the motorcoach operators, or the tour operators, or student travel, or inbound operators. The suppliers every trip needs, the hotels, restaurants, and attractions, have had no association that also holds the planners who buy from them. The volunteer who runs 1 bus trip a year has belonged to nothing at all.

NAGTA is built to be the body that holds the whole chain: 1 directory across every category, 1 code of conduct, 1 place for a planner to post a request for proposal and receive many bids, 1 source of aggregate demand data, and 1 voice to regulators for whichever part of the industry a matter concerns.

Membership

Free to join. Full benefits for 12 months. Nothing billed, ever, without your order.

Every organization joins free as an Introductory Member with the full benefit set for 12 months. Organizations that join before our public launch, targeted for 08/2027, get 24 months and carry the permanent designation Founding Member 2026 or Founding Member 2027. When the introductory period ends, nothing is charged. Your record moves to our free, permanent Listed tier unless you choose a paid tier. Paid tiers start at $195 a year and are sized to your organization.

For planners, the marketplaces are free forever, at every tier: Groupbinder, browsing the directories, posting requests for proposal, and receiving bids never expire and never cost a planner anything.

Benefits

What your membership includes from day 1

A full directory profile with your logo, photos, group amenities, capacity, and contacts by department, in a directory whose order is neutral. NAGTA never ranks members by tier or by payment.

Every request for proposal posted by a planner in your categories and service area, delivered to the address on your profile. Planners post once and members of the relevant categories bid.

The NAGTA Member seal for your website and materials, the editable template library, the member request portal, webinars, the newsletter, research summaries, and a dispute channel between members with a published outcome ledger.

For planners

Groupbinder, a free planning platform, in beta

Planners can use Groupbinder for the trip binder, roster and public signup page, payments ledger, rooming lists, bus manifests, hotel block tracking, participant email, documents, vendor discovery, and quote requests. It is free for every planner forever, at every NAGTA tier including Listed.

Groupbinder is owned by a company in which NAGTA's founder holds an interest. NAGTA holds no ownership in it and receives nothing for this link. Your Groupbinder account is governed by Groupbinder's own terms.

Advocacy

A voice for the part of the industry a matter concerns

NAGTA petitions, comments, and requests records on behalf of the cohort a matter affects, and says so on the face of every filing. Our first acts, taken in our first days for motorcoach operators, were a petition for rulemaking to the Secretary of Transportation concerning how the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration presents its Safety Measurement System data, and 2 Freedom of Information Act requests to that agency dated 09/04/2026. NAGTA takes no partisan positions and retains no lobbyist.
